Heritage Conservation: Preserving our Past for the Future – May 11, 2024

On “Conserving Modern Heritage” talk last May 11 at the National Museum Auditorium, Dr. Gerard Lico emphasized, “Not all buildings of the past can be conserved. There should be a balance between the sentimental and practical.”

He added, “The goal of good conservation is that there should be a minimum intervention into the historic fabric of a structure. This means that elements should be repaired rather than replaced.”
