Roderick “Jay” Y. Javier, MFAD plans to present how amateur photography and its evolution in the Philippines have accidentally created heritage images. He will introduce us to Teodulo Protomartir, a pioneer promoter of Philippine Amateur Photography from the 1930s to the 1950s. This talk is based on the exhibit in 2019 that showcased the near-lost work of the pioneer responsible for bringing 35mm film photography to the country.

Jay Javier is the Academic Adviser of the AB Photography Program of the School of Design and Arts at the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde. He is a photographer and photography teacher for 30 years, camera collector, and traditional photography processes practitioner.
