An Art Auction to Give Deaf Kids a Voice!
Paintings and sculptures from the best artists of the Philippines with starting bids at 40% below gallery prices. All 103 works of art up for auction are currently on display at the Main Gallery of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (3rd Floor, CCP main theater bldg.) until Feb. 8, 2008 (except monday, Feb. 4).
The 50 contributing artists include National Artists Bencab, Napoleon Abueva, and Abdul Mari Imao. Also included are works from Juvenal Sanso, Ramon Orlina, Lao Lian Ben and Edwin Wilwayco, just to name a few. Talented, up and coming artists are also featured in the auction.

Live auction will be on Saturday, Feb. 9, 6pm. Venue will also be the Main Gallery of the CCP (cocktails will be served at 5pm). Program will feature renowned theater director Leo Rialp and the very entertaining Mitch Valdes, as well as the talented musicians of the Pundaquit Virtuosi.
For the benefit of the Joseph Gualandi School for the Hearing Impaired in BF Homes, Las Piñas – a small school which teaches hearing impaired children how to use their vocal chords and speak. This ability to communicate, a part of our everyday lives which we often take for granted, is key if they are to live fulfilled lives and be rightfully counted as contributing members of society one day.
